Baseball Recap: Byron-Bergen's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Byron-Bergen had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Alexander Trojans by a score of 11-6. This was a revenge game for the Bees: when they faced off against the Trojans back in April, they had to take a 9-8 defeat.

Kyle Smith was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Hayden Starkweather also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Byron-Bergen kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Alexander, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Byron-Bergen has already played their next game, an 8-1 loss against Pembroke on the 10th. As for Alexander, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 13-3 defeat against Pavilion on the 9th.
