Basketball Recap: Merrimack Takes a Loss

Merrimack was the 37-31 winner over Spaulding when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Merrimack Tomahawks opened the new year with a less-than-successful 42-33 loss to the Spaulding Red Raiders. The Tomahawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Merrimack's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Spaulding, they moved to 1-4 with that win, which also ended their 13-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Spaulding beat Merrimack by a score of 42-33 on Monday.
