Softball Recap: Covington Takes a Loss

Covington lost against Salt Fork back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans fell just short of the Storm by a score of 3-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Covington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Sutherlin, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

Covington now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Salt Fork, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3.

Covington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-3 defeat against Tri-County on the 14th. As for Salt Fork, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-7 victory against Milford on the 11th.
