The Cambria Heights Highlanders will challenge the Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Cambria Heights is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Things were looking good for Cambria Heights after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Purchase Line by a score of 6-5. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ellie Bender was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Gina Lane also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Moshannon Valley fell victim to Curwensville and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Golden Tide. The Black Knights/Damsels haven't had much luck with the Golden Tide recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Cambria Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Moshannon Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
