Basketball Recap: Hebbronville Comes Up Short

Hebbronville's tournament run continued when they took on Port Isabel on Friday. The Hebbronville Longhorns lost to the Port Isabel Tarpons on the road by a 73-55 margin.

Despite the loss, Hebbronville still got an impressive performance from Oscar Carrillo, who posted 19 points. Carrillo's afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Gonzalez, who earned ten points.

Hebbronville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Port Isabel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Hebbronville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-26 loss against Agua Dulce on the 27th. Port Isabel has also already played their next contest, a 43-40 win against McMullen County on the 28th.
