Softball Recap: Monticello Buckaroo vs. San Juan Broncos        
        
		
            
 Sadly, Monticello is still looking for their first win of the season after 12  contests. They fell victim to a  rough 24-2 defeat at the hands of the San Juan Broncos  on Tuesday. One positive for Monticello, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
 Monticello saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Taylor Barry, who  went 1-for-2 with a  triple and two  RBI.
 On San Juan's side,  Trinity Whatcott was a major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). Whatcott was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with a  triple and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Morgann Mcpherson was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with six  RBI, four  runs,  and two  stolen bases. Another player making a difference was  Madden Perkins, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and two  runs.
 Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for San Juan, their win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 11-7.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on North Sevier at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday. San Juan will take on Wayne at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday.
