Preview: Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers vs. Daniel Lions
The Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Daniel Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Blue Ridge is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Last Friday, Blue Ridge didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Greer, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win.
Blue Ridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zikira henderson led the charge by scoring 24 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which henderson has scored at least 25% of Blue Ridge's points. Alla Hutchins was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Daniel had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a hard 70-54 fall against Blue Ridge on Monday.
Their wins bumped Blue Ridge to 5-1 and Greer to 2-2.
Blue Ridge strolled past Daniel in their previous meeting on Monday by a score of 70-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Blue Ridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
