Volleyball Recap: Clear Falls Comes Up Short

Clear Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Clear Brook Wolverines. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 21-25, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Clear Falls saw an underclassman step up: freshman Cabrina Vanderford had 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Vanderford.

Clear Falls' loss dropped their record down to 15-18. As for Clear Brook, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 15-17 record.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Clear Falls is set to square off against their familiar foe Dickinson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Clear Brook will challenge rival Clear Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
