Baseball Game Preview: Queen's Grant Stallions vs. Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats

Queen's Grant is a perfect 3-0 against Sugar Creek Charter since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Queen's Grant is taking a road trip to take on Sugar Creek Charter at 4:15 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses dating back to last season for Queen's Grant and four for Sugar Creek Charter.

Queen's Grant came up short against Mountain Island Charter on Thursday, falling 15-1.

Queen's Grant saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonah Weiss, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Weiss is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Thursday. Sugar Creek Charter lost 16-5 to Garinger. One positive for Sugar Creek Charter, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

James Thompson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. That run marked the first that he scored this season. Makaii Mcclung was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Sugar Creek Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Queen's Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything went Queen's Grant's way against Sugar Creek Charter in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, as Queen's Grant made off with a 28-1 victory. Will Queen's Grant repeat their success, or does Sugar Creek Charter has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
