Basketball Recap: Fort Myers Comes Up Short

Fort Myers lost against Lehigh back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Fort Myers Green Wave came up short against the Lehigh Lightning, falling 70-48. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 444th, while the Lightning are ranked 112th).

Despite the loss, Fort Myers still got an impressive performance from James Michel, who posted 16 points.

Fort Myers' loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Lehigh, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-1.

Fort Myers didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-38 win against South Fort Myers on the 15th. Lehigh has also already played their next match, a 98-52 victory against Dunbar on the 15th.
