Jason Fields of El Camino ran for the longest rushing play in Capital this season against Mesa Verde last week. Fields scampered for 59 yards on the play and finished with 55 on the day as his team beat the Mavericks.
Fans got a thrill when Tyler McCombs and Mister Harriel connected against Woodcreek. The longest such play in the league this season, the connection resulted in 52 yards.
Whitney's dynamic duo of Drew Romo and Kris Corpus proved to be unstoppable against Buhach Colony, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Romo threw for 301 yards and 3 touchdowns and Corpus had 129 yards receiving. Josh Gallofin helped Whitney's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 61 yards.
The Wildcats' dynamic duo of Romo and Corpus proved tough for the Thunder to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Romo put up the best numbers through the air as Whitney fell to Buhach Colony.
Michael McNeil was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 7 carries, he ran for 263 yards as Cordova lost to Kevin Swartwood's team. Andy Lee also contributed to the rushing game with 31 yards on the ground.
Quenton Hagen made the biggest impact on defense this week as El Camino defeated Mesa Verde. The 6-foot-3 senior.
McNeil was a beast in the backfield as the Lancers topped Johnson.
He was 19-31 with 0 interception.
Corpus was the best wideout in Capital this week as the Wildcats fell to the Thunder.
Whitney's Romo and Corpus have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Romo has thrown for 763 yards this season, while Corpus, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 14 catches for 255 yards. Titus Vinson from Antelope leads the league in rushing with 340 yards.
Adam Reinking's team was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from third to first in the league. Earlier in the week, the Eagles defeated Ronald Barney's team 63-0.
