Basketball Recap: Crane Medical Finds Playoff Glory Versus Wells

Crane Medical had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 72-63 victory over the Wells Raiders on Friday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Brad Blackman, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted three or more in each of the last 22 games he's played. Treveon Hoskins was another key player, shooting 60% from the field en route to 15 points and five rebounds.

Crane Medical was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Wells saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cornell Barrow posted 32 points. Those 32 points set a new season-high mark for Barrow. Another player making a difference was Jacoby Cail, who had eight points.

Crane Medical's victory bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Wells, they dropped their record down to 15-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Crane Medical wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 64-38 defeat against Christ the King on the 4th. Wells does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
