On Wednesday Emma Brown struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits, which was good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her 12th in a row with less than two walks. For the season, she has an ERA of 3.84 over 27.3 innings pitched.

Coming up, Brown and Bishop O'Dowd will head out on the road to take on San Leandro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons are 9-1 against the Pirates going back to March of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
