            Softball Recap: Monarch Coyotes vs. Silver Creek Raptors        
        
		
        
        
             Monarch was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They took  a  10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silver Creek Raptors.
  Teagan Lear was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  runs and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ithaca Kremer, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Monarch's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Silver Creek, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monarch will take on Erie at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. Monarch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6  runs per game  this season. As for Silver Creek, they will square off against Horizon at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Horizon has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.07  runs per game on average), something Silver Creek will no doubt try to take advantage of.
