Baseball Recap: West Michigan Christian Has No Trouble Against Ravenna

West Michigan Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Ravenna on Monday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 11-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

West Michigan Christian let Peyton Lowell and Caden Harris run wild. Lowell got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Harris went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two RBI gave Lowell a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Lang, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

West Michigan Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-3-1. As for Ravenna, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, West Michigan Christian will be playing at home against Potter's House Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ravenna, they are taking a road trip to face off against Mason County Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
