Baseball Recap: Winfield-Mt. Union Wins Going Away Against Lone Tree

After only two runs in their last contest, Winfield-Mt. Union made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lone Tree on Friday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Lions. Considering the Wolves have won three matches by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Winfield-Mt. Union's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Lone Tree, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winfield-Mt. Union will square off against Mediapolis at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lone Tree, they will venture away from home to face off against Danville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Bears at the right time seeing as the Bears are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
