Football Recap: Mercer Island Islanders vs. Foss Falcons
While Mercer Island put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Foss. The Mercer Island Islanders simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Foss Falcons 37-0 at home. The Islanders' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Mercer Island can attribute much of their success to Ryder Davis, who picked up 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Youngmin Lee also helped with four touchdowns in total.
The victory made it two in a row for Mercer Island and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Foss, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Mercer Island is taking a road trip to square off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Foss, they will square off against Franklin Pierce at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foss is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
