Football Recap: Fulton Takes a Loss

Fulton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 51-7 loss at the hands of the Gibbs Eagles. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, Fulton still got an impressive performance from Jamil Smith, who rushed for 78 yards and one score. Smith's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards.

Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Gibbs, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Fulton will head out to face off against Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.43 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gibbs, they will host Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Mountaineers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
