Softball Recap: Jonathan Alder Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop Hartley, Jonathan Alder was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Hamilton Township Rangers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pioneers considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Macy Pruitt looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Lucy Boyd was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Natalie Neumeier, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Jonathan Alder's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hamilton Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Jonathan Alder will venture away from home to face off against Dublin Jerome at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hamilton Township, they will host West Jefferson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
