Softball Recap: West Central Falls Short Against Ranked Lincoln

West Central faced Lincoln in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 9-7. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly two runs.

West Central's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-3. As for Lincoln, their win was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Looking ahead, West Central will head out to take on Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lincoln, they will be playing at home against Aberdeen Central on Friday.
