Softball Recap: Princeton Starts Season with Win Against Pierce

Princeton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pierce Bears by a score of 6-3. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 17-13 victory the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Princeton's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Guadalupe Espinoza, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Reyna Sullivan, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Pierce is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Princeton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-3 defeat against Chester on the 13th. Pierce has also already played their next matchup (against Williams), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
