Volleyball Recap: Palo Verde Panthers vs. Coronado Cougars
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Palo Verde can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Coronado Cougars on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.
Palo Verde was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Coronado work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 27-29, 25-22, 26-24.
ISABELLE GUERZON was the offensive standout of the match as she had 29 digs and two aces. Those 29 digs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was NAKISA FRIEDMAN, who had 17 digs.
Palo Verde has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-17 record this season.
