Owensville waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Rolla Bulldogs by a score of 46-35. This was payback for the Dutchmen, who suffered a 50-31 loss the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Rolla lost, don't look at Akaela Caquelin. Despite the final result, she shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Caquelin's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mariah Watkins, who posted six points.

Owensville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Rolla, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.

Owensville and Rolla should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Owensville will square off against St. Pius X at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 205 places (28 vs. 233). Similarly, Rolla (ranked 30th) will meet Camdenton (ranked 236th) at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
