Baseball Recap: Grant Takes a Loss

Grant lost against Sparta back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Tigers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-1. The match marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Grant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Gragg, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Grant's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Sparta, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Coming up, Grant will look to defend their home field on Monday against Newaygo at 4:00 p.m. As for Sparta, they will venture away from home to take on Allendale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
