Volleyball Game Preview: Copper Hills Grizzlies vs. Riverton Silverwolves

Copper Hills hasn't had much luck against Riverton recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Silverwolves at 6:30 p.m.

Copper Hills is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Pleasant Grove, who was ranked 13th at the time (Copper Hills was ranked 24th). The Grizzlies took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Friday.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 26-28, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Riverton waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 28-26, 25-21.

Riverton pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Copper Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Copper Hills has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.2 aces per game. However, it's not like Riverton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
