Basketball Game Preview: Rock Hills Grizzlies vs. Red Cloud Warriors

Two dominant guards in Cooper McDill and Gage Ely are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rock Hills Grizzlies will welcome the Red Cloud Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Two weeks ago, Rock Hills came up short against Logan/Palco and fell 59-49. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Logan/Palco are ranked 11th).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Red Cloud beat Hershey 46-42 on Friday.

Rock Hills better keep an eye on Ely. He was instrumental in Red Cloud's win, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards. Those 13 boards gave Ely a new career-high. Mason Bolin was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Red Cloud now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Rock Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
