Volleyball Recap: Oxnard Takes a Loss

Oxnard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Esperanza Aztecs.

Caiden Aguilar paced Oxnard's offense, picking up four kills. Aguilar got some help from JP Mawas and his 16 assists. Finally, Aguilar was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Oxnard now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Esperanza, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Oxnard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Bishop Diego on the 8th. As for Esperanza, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Bakersfield Christian on the 8th.
