Softball Game Preview: Breathitt County Bobcats vs. Jackson County Generals

The Breathitt County Bobcats will take on the Jackson County Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bobcats on Wednesday. Breathitt County blew past Lee County 10-4. Breathitt County might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Jackson County was able to grind out a solid win over Harlan on Tuesday, taking the game 6-1. The Generals haven't had any issues with the Green Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Breathitt County's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Jackson County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Breathitt County took their win against Jackson County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
