Basketball Game Preview: Classical Academy Caimans vs. San Diego Jewish Academy Lions

The Classical Academy Caimans are taking a road trip to square off against the San Diego Jewish Academy Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Classical Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Classical Academy didn't have too much trouble with Coastal Academy as they won 54-40.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Issac Chapman, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine blocks. The dominant performance gave Chapman a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Nathan French, who went 7 for 13 en route to 17 points.

Meanwhile, San Diego Jewish Academy suffered their biggest loss since January 9th on Tuesday. They came up short against Foothills Christian, falling 50-24. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Lions' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

San Diego Jewish Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Classical Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.

Classical Academy took a serious blow against San Diego Jewish Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 89-61. Can Classical Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
