Preview: Fredonia Lynx vs. Basis Yeti
After two games on the road, Fredonia is heading back home. They will take on the Basis Yeti at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Fredonia earned a 27-18 win over El Capitan/Centennial Academy.
Meanwhile, Basis' three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Seligman by a score of 38-26. The win was just what Basis needed coming off of a 63-14 defeat in their prior matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Basis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jasmine Hall, who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. Emily Mullaney was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 3 steals.
Fredonia's victory bumped their season record to 3-1 while El Capitan/Centennial Academy's loss dropped theirs to 3-2.
Everything came up roses for Fredonia against Basis in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 58-23 victory. Does Fredonia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Basis turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
