Volleyball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

If Dayton was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of St. Patrick last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Greendevils lost 3-0 to the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thoroughbreds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Dayton's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Newport Central Catholic, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 19-15.

As of now, neither Dayton nor the Thoroughbreds have any future games scheduled.
