Softball Recap: Yonkers Takes a Loss

Yonkers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 24-10 to the Edgemont Panthers. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Sofia Lauda made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mya Campbell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Yonkers' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Edgemont, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Yonkers will square off against Gorton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Edgemont, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Harrison at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st.
