Volleyball Recap: Lincoln County's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Lincoln County came into Tuesday's match having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Van Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lincoln County took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-15.

Abby Roy paced Lincoln County's offense, picking up four kills. Roy got some help from Jillian Starcher and her eight assists. Starcher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Lincoln County's win bumped their record up to 3-12-1. As for Van, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Lincoln County has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Calvary Baptist Academy on the 23rd. As for Van, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on River View at 5:30 p.m. on October 7.
