Belmond-Klemme is 6-0 against Northwood-Kensett since February of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Belmond-Klemme Broncos will venture away from home to face off against the Northwood-Kensett Vikings at 6:15 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Belmond-Klemme easily dispatched North Iowa on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Belmond-Klemme fell just short of West Hancock by a score of 56-53 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Northwood-Kensett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against St. Ansgar, falling 66-38. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Saints are ranked 118th).

Belmond-Klemme's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Northwood-Kensett, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.

Belmond-Klemme strolled past Northwood-Kensett when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 27-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for Belmond-Klemme since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
