Soccer Recap: Crisp County's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Crisp County kept a clean sheet against Pierce County on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Bears. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 two weeks ago.

Crisp County's one-goal win came courtesy of Sawyer McGinnis, who's now up to 14 this season.

The win (which was Crisp County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4. As for Pierce County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Crisp County and Pierce County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Crisp County will face off against Sumter County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday up 172 places (108 vs. 280). Meanwhile, Pierce County (ranked 57th) will meet Brantley County (ranked 422nd) at 7:00 p.m. on April 15.
