Basketball Recap: Pittsburg Takes a Loss

Pittsburg came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were beaten by the Gorham Huskies 63-34. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Pittsburg's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Gorham, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pittsburg will face off against Colebrook Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Colebrook Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Pittsburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gorham, they will square off against Lin-Wood at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
