On Friday Porter Berryman struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. The effort marked the most strikeouts Berryman has had since back in May of 2024. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with less than one earned run. This year, he has an ERA of .37 over 19 innings pitched.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Parkview Panthers take on Peachtree Ridge Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Peachtree Ridge will enter the matchup having just beaten Winder-Barrow, so Parkview will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
