Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Conifer Lobos 80-32. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Lobos are ranked 138th).

Isaac Pratt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Conifer, going 11 of 21 en route to 26 points. Another player making a difference was Sam Benne, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points.

Jefferson is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Conifer, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Jefferson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 87-36 loss against Arrupe Jesuit on the 9th. Conifer has also already played their next matchup, a 47-35 defeat against Village on the 8th.
