Basketball Recap: Arlington Tigers vs. Rickards Raiders
Arlington easily dispatched Forsyth Central last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Arlington Tigers fell just short of the Rickards Raiders by a score of 46-44 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 208th in Tennessee, while the Raiders are ranked 22nd in Florida).
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kallie Marsh, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. Marsh is becoming a predictor of Arlington's success: when she posts at least ten rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 3-6 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Jordan Wirt, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Rickards, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
Arlington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-42 loss against North Forsyth on the 30th. As for Rickards, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-52 victory against Lebanon on the 30th.
