Baseball Recap: Tocoi Creek Takes a Loss

Tocoi Creek has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.53 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They fell 10-5 to the Suncoast Chargers. That's two games in a row now that the Toros have lost by exactly five runs.

Jackson Sizemore was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Chase Pate was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Tocoi Creek and nudges their season record down to 13-4. As for Suncoast, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Coming up, Tocoi Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Suncoast, they will square off against Nease at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
