Volleyball Recap: Chaparral Takes a Loss

Chaparral suffered their biggest defeat since March 19, 2024 on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Great Oak Wolfpack. The loss continues a trend for the Pumas in their meetings with the Wolfpack: they've now lost three in a row.

While Chaparral was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-22, 25-18.

Chaparral's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-10. As for Great Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chaparral is set to challenge their familiar foe Murrieta Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Great Oak will take on rival Temecula Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
