Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beckman). Their defense stepped up to hand the Monticello Panthers a 12-0 shutout on Monday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Beckman's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Monticello are ranked 206th).

Beckman's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those four matchups. As for Monticello, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beckman will host Clarksville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarksville have yet to allow a single goal through 11 games this season, a streak Beckman will look to end. As for Monticello, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Delaware at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
