Basketball Game Preview: Clairemont Chieftains vs. Morse Tigers

The Clairemont Chieftains will take on the Morse Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Morse took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Clairemont, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Clairemont turned things around against High Tech SD on Tuesday. They blew past the Storm 66-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Chieftains have posted since December 21, 2024.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Morse's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crawford.

Clairemont's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-10. As for Morse, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Clairemont came out on top in a nail-biter against Morse when the teams last played back in February of 2022, sneaking past 2-0. Will Clairemont repeat their success, or does Morse have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
