Football Recap: Concordia Fighting Orioles vs. Rock Port Blue Jays
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Concordia couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a blow against the Rock Port Blue Jays on Saturday, falling 46-7. The Fighting Orioles were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three matchups prior), but the Blue Jays' defense proved too tough.
Nephi Hon threw for 113 yards and one touchdown. Lane Hass was his top target, picking up 87 receiving yards and one TD.
It was another big night for Brock Holmes, who rushed for 274 yards and four scores for Rock Port. Holmes is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season.
