Basketball Recap: Berea Piles Up the Points Against Pickens

There's no place like home for Berea, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They breezed by the Pickens Blue Flame to the tune of 64-32 on Friday. That 32 point margin sets a new team best for the Bulldogs this season.

When it comes to explaining why Pickens lost, don't look at Gavin Mock. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and four steals. Will Stone also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Berea moved to 7-9 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Pickens, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Berea will head out to face off against Greer at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Greer will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Berea surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pickens, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-39 defeat against Daniel on the 23rd.
