Softball Recap: DeKalb Barbs vs. Waubonsie Valley Warriors

DeKalb extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 14-12. They lost 14-1 to the Waubonsie Valley Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent loss being a 12-2 defeat on Tuesday.

As for Waubonsie Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. Considering they have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Waubonsie Valley's part, Molly Quinn was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Quinn was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
