Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Severna Park). They claimed a resounding  44-7 win over the Meade Mustangs. With that  victory, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 26.4  points per game.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Jonathan Wark and  Graham Guenther. Wark rushed for 87 yards and a pair of  scores on only 12 carries while  Guenther rushed for 58 yards and one  touchdown. Guenther's longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 Severna Park was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 246  rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  rushing yard total in four consecutive  contests.
 Severna Park didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Landon Williams and  Kamari Brown. Severna Park got some further help from  Noah Croghan: he picked up  a  sack, forced one fumble,  and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Severna Park now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Meade, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Coming up, Severna Park will face off against Old Mill at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Patriots will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  points each  game than the last. As for Meade, they will venture away from home to  take on Annapolis  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
