Football Recap: Parkdale Takes a Loss

Parkdale fell victim to Flowers and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were beaten by the Jaguars 50-0. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

It was another big night for Kodi Gardner, who rushed for 128 yards and three TDs on only eight carries for Flowers. Gardner's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 128 rushing yards.

Parkdale's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Flowers, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Parkdale will head out to challenge Oxon Hill at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Clippers' defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Flowers, they are taking a road trip to take on Bladensburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
