Evanston waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 76-41 stomp they got against the Bogan Bengals. Given the Wildkits' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Bengals are ranked 572nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evanston's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Bogan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Evanston won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Alton at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Alton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Bogan, they will head out to face off against Chicago Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
