Basketball Recap: Paradise Bobcats vs. Anderson Cubs
Paradise unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anderson Cubs on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.
Anderson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jagger Johnson out in front who posted nine points along with five boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Johnson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Whitehead, who put up ten points and five rebounds.
Looking ahead, Paradise will be taking part in a tournament against Mt. Shasta at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anderson, they will square off against Gridley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
